MONUMENTO ALL'UVA
The sculpture in tuff, realized by Franco Armato was inaugurated in 2000. About 2 metres high and made in tuff ashlars with, in relief, a bunch of grapes to commemorate the fact that wine production in the territory of Petrosino dates back to ancient times and has always represented the most important productive sector. Here the first Grillo grapes were produced to make the table wine. With 70% of the agricultural area destined for vines, Petrosino can today consider itself to be the most wine-producing town of Italy.
The territory falls into two D.O.C areas, that of Marsala and Delia Nivolelli.
