BAGLIO SPANO'
Ex bishops’ residence, it was built by marquis Nicolò Spanò of Marsala between 1873 and 1882. It has a rectangular layout and is characterised by the presence of two communicating courtyards, one reserved for the owner’s family and the other for productive activity, the daily needs of the farmers and for storerooms and stables. The entrance leads into the main courtyard where the main part of the baglio stands, once used as a seasonal residence of the marquis, whose prestige is shown by the sumptuousness of the structure.
Still today it is owned privately and the baglio is partly used as an agriturismo - (farmhouse accommodation).
From the higher floor there is a splendid view of the sea.
