CHIESA DELLA TRINITA'

Designed by the architect Vito Corte, in a rectangular layout, the church holds works coming from the destroyed churches of old Salaparuta, including the wooden statues of the Madonna and of Cristo Risorto - Christ resurrected (late XVIII century), made by Girolamo Bagnasco, protagonist of Lu ncontru. The wooden group of the Madonna del Piraino (pear), by Vincenzo Genovese (XIX century), which re-evokes the iconography reproduced of the miraculous stone kept in the Mother Church is much venerated.
The group is carried in a procession on the occasion of the impressive festivities in honour of the Madonna del Piraino (28th and 29th August).
