TESTINA DI AFRODITE

 

In the Antonio Cordici Civic Museum, there are archaeological finds from different periods (Elymian-Punic, Greek, Roman), paintings from the XVII and XVIII centuries and sacred paraments from the same period. Of importance are the testa di Afrodite – head of Aphrodite from the IV century B.C., one of the best loved symbols of Erice.
