CHIESA DI SAN TOMMASO

The San Tommaso church (first half of the XV century) is a small Gothic-Catalan beauty, with its splendid doorway.

A small Gothic-Catalan beauty, due to the important architectural value of the splendid, splayed doorway, perfect example of the Swabian model, with acute arches and a Chiaramontano style emphasised by incisions, and minute adornments. Above there is a tasteful single lancet window inserted together with the door into a short porch flanked by long slender columns. The inside, a single nave is divided into two areas by a transversal arch supported by two columns attached to the walls. The date of construction is uncertain, but it was probably built in the second half of the XV century.
